I feel like he is trying to say that even though reason and logic are a big part of our lifes and help us debate and have our own unique thoughts. They are not always the awnser. That even with reason and logic we cannot always have the outcome we want. It makes you think about how else we could reach or desired solution. That there are other things beside logic and reason.
I see where you are coming from here. With reason and logic we can get a lot done, but it may not be what was desired in the end.
